The first event of an 18 month project, South Yorkshire Early Years Music, funded by Youth Music to equip Early Years practitioners with knowledge, skills, and resources that enable them to include music-making in everyday activities. Workshop leader, narrator, animateur, and performer Polly Ives presents a session focussing on music in the Early Years. She outlines its importance to the development and growth of young children, and the many ways in which it can benefit their learning and environment. Participants will take part in and learn songs that can be used every day in school or nursery, and will find a growing confidence in delivering music themselves. A session of inspiration and ideas for everyone who’d like to make more music with their young children. Visit South Yorkshire Early Music's website and access loads of resources and practical ideas. Like our Facebook Page for updates on the latest resources, ideas and research. Funded by Youth Music, in partnership with Music in the Round, Sheffield Music Hub and ESCAL.
